CAMP SPEAKER – REG COX

Reg was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in the Churches of Christ. After High School he wandered away from church, God and faith. Several factors led him back to Jesus and this spiritual awakening led to a deeper faith in God and eventually an education at Abilene Christian University (ACU).

After graduation Reg spent a couple of years in Campus Ministry in Miami, Florida then returned to work at ACU where he held several administrative posts, taught classes, led an inner city church plant, wrote the curriculum for ACU’s senior high leadership camps, Kadesh and Crosstraining and traveled extensively preaching and teaching.

Reg’s 42 year bachelor life ended in 1998 when he married Atlanta native and ACU graduate Amy Williams. The Cox’s moved to Colorado in 2002 where Reg currently preaches for the Lakewood Church of Christ. They have two children, son Levi (10) and daughter Faith Ann (8).

A passion for God’s kingdom of has motivated Reg to invest in various spiritual adventures such as speaking at campaigns, church retreats and spiritual renewal events. In 2005 Reg co-authored the book, “The Xodus Files” with Rick Brown which grew out of a preaching series Reg developed from the book of Exodus. Recently, Reg collaborated with several authors to write the book; “The Me Addiction – having it my way wasn’t so great after all.” Reg has also spoken at events such as; “Spirit West Coast” and was a theme presenter at ACU’s Summit in 2010.

A passion for life has expressed itself in Reg’s life through various adventures including world travel, mountain climbing, skiing, rock climbing and cycling. Whether it’s at work or play Reg’s life has been lived with passion, excitement, and a desire to glorify God.
